INDEPENDENT TECH PROS

How can you help me?

I build close relationships with VC-backed startups to uncover roles for external talent. I speak directly with founders and heads of product/engineering, meaning I often surface opportunities that aren't made public (or before they ever make it to a job board).
We’d be working as a two-person team: I handle outreach and warm intros, promoting you to relevant startups. You lead the client conversations, close the contracts, and deliver the work.
Think of me as your business development partner and another channel for high-trust, high-fit opportunities you can take or leave.

So, what's your business model and how do you get paid?

There’s no fee to work with me — we operate on a revenue share basis. For any client we bring in together, I take 15% of the total income you earn from them in the first 12 months. You manage the contract and invoice the client directly. I invoice you for my share, and I'm paid only once you’ve been paid.

How is this different from working with a recruiter?

I get asked this a lot and it’s a fair question. On the surface, it might look similar. But what I do is fundamentally different from recruitment:I don’t represent companies. I represent you.
Recruiters are hired by startups to fill specific roles. I work on your side, helping you find high-trust, relevant opportunities.
I don’t take fees from startups. I share revenue with you.
My compensation only comes from the work we generate together. We’re aligned from day one.
You own the client relationship.
I make the introduction, but you handle everything from there: scope, pricing, delivery, contract and billing.
I don’t just wait for open roles. I surface real needs.
Because I build ongoing relationships with founders and teams, I often uncover opportunities before they’re public (or before they even write a job description).
I don’t spray resumes. I make curated, high-signal intros.
When I recommend you, it’s because there’s a clear match, not because I’m ticking boxes or working a quota.

What kind of opportunities can I expect?

Most opportunities are with VC-backed startups between Pre-Seed and Series A, typically based in Europe or the US.The roles vary, but generally fall into two categories:1️⃣ Short-term projects: They have a clear goal, timeline, and scope (e.g. an MVP build, LLM integration, etc.).2️⃣ Longer-term contracts: The startup wants flexible support instead of a permanent hire. These often have the potential to turn into contract-to-perm if things go well.

Can I still find my own work?

Absolutely. You’re free (and encouraged) to find your own work directly. This isn’t exclusive. I’m just one channel in your broader pipeline, here to bring high-quality, high-fit opportunities your way. You’re under no obligation to take on any of the introductions I make.

I'm interested, what happens next?

If you’ve got questions or want to chat through the model first, feel free to reach out by email or LinkedIn.Here’s how things work when you’re ready to move forward:📋 Step 1: Fill out this quick form
This helps me understand your background, interests, and what kinds of opportunities you’re looking for.
☎️ Step 2: Intro call
When I’ve got something relevant, I’ll get in touch to book a short call so we can get to know each other properly.
📝 Step 3: Sign the partnership agreement
If we're aligned, I’ll send over a simple agreement that sets out how the revenue share works and formalizes our commercial relationship.
🔎 Step 4: Quick due diligence
So I'm putting you forward confidently, I usually ask for some references (written feedback, testimonials or former clients/employers I can speak to) and examples of past work to see your contribution.
🚀 Step 5: Let’s get to work
From there, I can start sharing details of suitable leads and making warm introductions where there’s a strong fit.

STARTUPS

How can you help us?

If you’re exploring freelance or contract support, I can introduce you to self-employed engineers, data scientists, and product designers from my network of mid-level and senior, independent tech professionals. With no recruiter fees. Here’s how it works:1️⃣ Share your requirements: Tell me about your role, timeline, budget, and preferences.2️⃣ Get curated intros: I’ll surface the most relevant people from my network and make warm introductions.3️⃣ You take it from there: You contract with them directly and manage the relationship on your terms.

Why would we consider working with freelancers or contractors?

Every startup approaches team building differently, but here are the most common reasons founders tell me they choose flexible talent:💬 Flexibility for short-term capacity issues: "We need help now but can’t commit to a long ramp-up or full-time hire."💬 Senior talent often prefers to work independently: "We don't want to miss out on a whole talent pool of experienced operators."💬 Runway control: "We need to manage burn and buy ourselves time, especially with longer fundraising timelines."💬 Faster time-to-hire: "We can’t wait three months for a perm hire. We need someone starting Monday."💬 Unclear role definition: "We know we need help, but we’re still shaping what that role actually looks like."💬 Try before you hire: "We’re happy to start flexible. If it’s a great fit, we’ll explore going perm later.”💬 Avoiding early team bloat: "Bringing on full-timers adds coordination overhead. We want to stay lean and focused."💬 Specialist or interim needs: "We can get more targeted expertise without overhiring, especially for deep technical or short-term work."💬 Simplifying remote hiring: "We’re using contractors to avoid international complexity, e.g. for non-UK talent post-Brexit."

Why should we work with you?

⭐️ If you care about quality over quantity: Everyone in my network is mid-level or senior with experience in startups or scale-ups, ready to jump in and deliver for you.⏱️ If you want to save time and move fast: I send you a short, curated list of the most suitable options, not a stack of resumes. You can meet your preferred candidates in days, not weeks.💸 If you want to protect runway: I don't charge startups, so instead of the extra cost of a recruiter, you only pay the person doing the job.

How can it be free to work with you?

Because I’m not a recruiter. I work as a business development partner for the independent tech professionals in my network. If you end up working together, I have a revenue share agreement with them. We always work to your budget and they pay me a percentage of what they earn, so there’s no fee on your side.If you later decide to bring someone in permanently, there’s no buyout or conversion fee.

What type of tech professionals are in your partner network?

I work with independent operators across core product and engineering functions — all with startup or scale-up experience. My network includes:🛠️ Software Engineers: Frontend, Backend, Full-Stack, Mobile, Web, DevOps🤖 ML/AI Engineers & Data Scientists: From LLM integration to data infra🎨 Product Designers: UX, UI, and full product design supportEveryone I represent is self-employed, highly experienced, and comfortable plugging into early-stage teams.

Where have your tech partners worked before?

My tech partners have worked with many VC-backed startups, often as early team members, and have helped scale some of the best-known tech companies across Europe and the US.Some examples include:

Where are your tech partners based?

Most of the people I work with are based in the UK, Western or Eastern Europe, the US, or Canada. While many prefer to work remotely, most are also open to hybrid, and in some cases, even fully on-site, depending on the team setup and opportunity.

What do founders you've worked with think?
